We are a group of international law firms offering a wide range of business legal services.  We have offices in Kinshasa, Lubumbashi and Matadi in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Emery Mukendi Wafwana & Associés), New York City in the United States of America (Emery Mukendi Wafwana & Associates, P.C.), and Johannesburg in the Republic of South Africa (Cabemery & Partners (PTY) Ltd). We are present, through partner firms and partner lawyers, in the Francophone African countries, particularly in the countries member of the Organization for the Harmonization of Business Law in Africa (OHADA).

We are particularly experienced, as lawyers and legal counsels, in business and corporate law related natural resources (mining and hydrocarbon law), energy law, infrastructures and agro-business. Our practice also covers general business law (investment law, corporate law, general commercial law, OHADA law, security law, intellectual property law, tax law, telecommunication law, insurance law,  aviation, road and maritime law), but also civil law (family law, international adoptions, land and real estate and contract law) and environmental law. We also provide legal evaluation on projects and represent our clients in national and international litigations as well as in dispute resolutions before major arbitral tribunals (ICC, ICSID, and OHADA-CCJA).

Our firms bring together skilled lawyers and legal consultants from various origins and backgrounds practicing in different jurisdictions around the world. Most of them are members of, and participate in, the activities of international professional associations such as the International Association of Lawyers (UIA), the International Bar Association (IBA), the New York City Bar Association (NYCBA), the International Law Firm (ILF), the New York County Lawyers’ Association (NYCLA), the International Association of Young Advocates (AIJA), the American Bar Association (ABA), and the International Conference of Common Tradition Bars (CIB). In South Africa, some of our lawyers are also members of the Law Society of Northern Provinces, the Gautheng Law Council, and the Black Lawyers Association.
