Paul Fortin is a Mining Consultant with Emery Mukendi Wafwana & Associates and a member of the Bar of Quebec in Canada (non-active membership). Prior to joining Emery Mukendi Wafwana & Associates, Paul Fortin served as Chief Executive Officer of La Générale des Carrières et des Mines (“Gecamines”), the DRC state owned mining and metal producing enterprise located in the Katanga Province; General Counsel of Gold Fields Limited in South Africa; Member of the Board of Directors of Tiomin Resources Ltd and managing director of the company in Kenya; Vice-President of Kahama Mining Ltd in Tanzania and General Counsel of Barrick Gold. Mr. Paul has tremendous experience as international mining jurist in advising investors, mine operators and governments from all around the world on policy and regulatory framework and carrying out resulting implementation programs in project development, mining, fiscal reform, privatization and public sector reform. In his professional practice, he has been advising in the development and implementation of mining legislations and regulations in Africa and Middle East (Guinea Conakry, Nigeria, Tanzania, Ivory Coast, Chad, Burundi, Burkina Faso, Yemen, Jordan, Benin, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Mali), in Latin America and Antilles (Brazil, Bolivia, Haiti, Guyana) and in Asia (Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Mongolia, Chine, Malaysia). He holds a law degree from Laval University and completed his fourth year for the admission to the Bar of Quebec at the McGill University of Montreal. He subsequently took courses in economic and political sciences at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences in London. He is fluent in English and French.

 Admitted to the Bar of New York (1968).  Mr. Allan J. Berlowitz is Of counsel to the law firm Emery Mukendi Wafwana & Associates and assists the firm in international litigation. Mr. Allan J. Berlowitz has been involved in many commercial cases before the Federal Courts and the State Courts, not only in New York but also in other jurisdictions. Among its clients are governments, banks, foreign law firms, Fortune 500 companies, and local unions. He is the founding member of the firm Berlowitz & Delamater (1981-2004) and started his legal career as legal adviser to the Ministry of Planning and Economic Affairs of the Government of Liberia. He holds his law degree from Columbia University (New York) and his Bachelor degree from the University of Princeton.
